A clinical study of Soave´s procedure for Imperforate anus with rectovaginal fistula

Abstract
|
|
|
A 3 day-old female patient of imperforate anus associated with rectovaginal fistula was first treated
by transverse colostomy and then Soave´s operation (8 months later).
No complications such as fecal incontinece were noticed. It was not needed to dissect the pelvic
organs surrounding the rectum for isolation and ligation of rectovaginal fistular tract.
